He will then be decorated with fresh butter from the temple’s goshala in a unique benne (butter) alankara. The deity will be decorated with garlands of fresh flowers, betel leaves and dry fruits. Hanumanji will also be offered vadamalas or garlands made from deep-fried lentil dumplings prepared in the deity kitchen.
