ISKCON Bangalore is pleased to present a new temple for Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda at Vaikuntha Hill, Kanakapura road, in South Bangalore. Hon’ble President of India Shri Ramnath Kovind inaugurated the shrine of the temple complex in a Lokarapana Ceremony held on June 14, 2022.
The temple’s architecture is based on the traditional stone design and is a replica of the famous Tirumala-Tirupati temple. A 9-feet tall deity of Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda, resembling the deity of Tirupati, is giving His darshan and will bless lakhs of devotees for the years to come. The Rajadhiraja Govinda temple is surrounded by the shrines of Sri Sudarshana Narasimha, Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha, Bhakta Hanuman and Garuda deva. For the first time, Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON resides in a separate temple in the deity form of a black granite stone.The Vedic ceremonies are being conducted between 5th June and 31st July, 2022. The temple will be opened for visitors on August 1 after these rituals.
This beautiful temple has manifested due to the generous contributions of many devotees around the world. Other features of the campus such as the Kalyani (sacred temple pond), Annadana Hall, and the flyover connecting the temple to the main road are under development. This will be the final chance to participate in building this glorious temple of Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda.
