This year, for the first time at ISKCON Bangalore, we will have an auspicious start to the Kartika month by
performing Ashtavadana Seva - a series of eight auspicious offerings to Lord Krishna. Sri Radha Krishnachandra
will be adorned with beautiful flowers and jewellery and brought to the centre of the main temple hall.
Their Lordships will be surrounded by expert chanters, musicians, dancers and devotees. The Deities will then
receive their services in a sequence - Sangeetha Seva, Nritya Seva, Sankirtana Seva, Vedic chants,
Vadya (musical instruments), Bhagavata Seva, Gita Seva and Deepa Aradhana.
The Bhagavad-gita states, “vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyo” – By all the Vedas I am to be known. (Bg 15.15).
